A surprising case has come to light from Gaya district of Bihar. Even after the death, the pension from the government office continued to be sent to the account of the deceased for four months. When the concerned official of the government office came to know about this, immediate action was started. However, the grandson had informed about the death of the deceased by giving a written application. This entire matter is of Gaya Municipal Corporation.

Gaya Municipal Corporation remains in the headlines every day for some issue or the other. This is not the first such case. Earlier, a case of overworking for four years after retirement had come to light. According to the information received, Maharaj Singh, posted in Gaya Municipal Corporation, had died. After the death of Maharaj Singh, his wife Madhuri Devi was getting family pension. Every month Rs 11,265 were being sent to Madhuri Devi’s account as family pension. Gaya Municipal Corporation kept sending money to his account for four months after his death.
The family pension continued to go into the account of the deceased.
If sources are to be believed, Madhuri Devi, who received family pension, died on May 10. On behalf of the family of the deceased, information was given in writing to Gaya Municipal Corporation on June 24. The death was reported by the deceased’s grandson Gautam Kumar. Despite this, the family pension continued to go into the account of the deceased till May, June, July and August. When the pension money did not stop coming, this information was given to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner Establishment. After that the investigation started, then the sending of pension money was stopped from the month of September. In this regard, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Shivnath Thakur said that the in-charge of the establishment branch and other people are responsible in the said matter. Action has been taken against all those responsible and an explanation has been demanded. Further action will be taken after receiving the reply to the clarification.
